Can you believe more time has passed? I just don’t know where the time goes. Pat has been participating in Project Walk know for 6 weeks and his doing great. He has some new sensations and his core strength has greatly improved. He is able to sit up and keep his balance for 20 minutes and stand in a standing frame without getting dizzy for 20 minutes. The sitting up has to do with all the core muscles in your mid-section and when you can’t feel them, that’s great. The standing frame gets weight on his feet, hips and knees. I need to remember to bring my camera and get some pictures of him working out. We also have a small machine called an E-stim, which is electro-stimulation. We do that at home to his triceps and wrist extensors (the back of your forearm). The theory is that the electrical current flows thru the nerves helping to regenerate the firing mechanisms in those nerves getting the muscle contract. Pat would also love to start having visitors know that the weather is getting nice, so if your interested is coming by to see him (or even me) just let me know. Thank you all for your support.

Hey Pat and Ang,
Wow, what great progress in just 6-weeks! From the pic you posted it looks like a nice facility they have. The E-stim sounds interesting. What are the best times of the day to stop over to say hello?
- Bob

Wow, that is a great machine to help Pat! I knew those machines would have to work in some way for him. Keep it up and our love to Pat!
Good to hear that Pat continues to make progress! Wish we weren’t so far away or we would come visit. Lots of great memories of summers with Angela, we really miss her! Cindy just came down to visit for the week. No plans, just chillin’. Love, Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Cindy
Way to go Pat!! We will definitely be seeing him once the weather is warm! Zoë wants to see her Uncle Ogre!
Sounds like you are making great progress! Thank goodness for engineering minds and great technology. It actually seems like a pretty common sense type of approach – I am amazed we were not doing this type of therapy years ago. Anyway……..glad to hear things are continuing to progress in a poitive direction – keep up the hard work! I hope to see you both very soon.
WE WANT TO VIST ASAP. Keep up the great work and tell Pat to go easy on them with his wonderful personality. Love you guys and hope to see you real soon.
Love,
Missy and the kids

Just checking in to say I love you and was thinking of you! xoxoxoxo
Hey Pat! Just writing you a note to let you know that I think of you often and to apologize for not telling you about it sooner. Don’t remember me Huh? I’m your cousin, your Uncle Tony’s son. I last saw you at Aunt Ann’s house while on the way through on business (many years ago). I’ve been following your progress through the family grapevine until Aunt Ann gave me this address. It would be great to hear from you, but I will understand if not. Keep up the good work, Pat and don’t lose heart; as you can see, a lot of folks are pulling for you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Michael Turcotte
